EFFECT DIFFERENT LEVELS OF TURMERIC ROOT POWDER TO DIET ON SOME TRAITS OF BROILER EXPOSED TO HEAT STRESS

This study was carried out in the poultry field Jadiriyah, affiliated with Department of Animal Production / College Agricultural Engineering Sciences - University Baghdad. experiment used 480 one-day-old, unsexed broiler chicks breed (Ross-308) an average weight 39.8 g to investigate effect adding different levels turmeric root (CURCUMA LONGA) powder diet on some characteristics and physiology commercial broilers exposed heat stress. Chicks were distributed randomly equally between 4 treatments (120 chicks/treatment), each treatment included 3 replicates, at a rate (40 chicks/repeat). fed starter, growth final for up 6 weeks, end experiment, 42 days old, 12 birds selected from 4/duplicate treatment. The placed their kennel within isolated space breeding hall temperature (36-39-42°C) hours. results showed significant increase (P > 0.05) total protein, albumin, globulin high-density lipoprotein. also decrease cholesterol, LDL, VLDL, GOT enzyme level, sodium potassium concentration, heterophil cells ratio (H/L), did not show basal, acidic monocyte blood cells, indicated values PCV HDL cells.
